Michelle Patrice Wade is the wife of Mark Wade and an ordained Five-Fold Ministry Teacher, author, certified life coach, transformational speaker, and talk show host. She is the founder of Beautifully Reconstructed Ministries and Beautifully Royal and previously held the title of America’s United States Curvy Ms. Palmetto State 2025.
A survivor of abuse and rejection, Michelle has transformed her pain into purpose, using her testimony to help others discover healing, hope, and freedom through CHRIST. What began as a personal journey of restoration has grown into a ministry that reaches lives through books, mentorship, speaking, and her talk show, Beautifully Reconstructed. Through her partnership with Drum Major Productions, she continues expanding that mission across her YouTube channel and social media platforms.
Michelle is the author of the devotional I Am Not Inadequate! and the powerful autobiography No Longer Satan’s Whore. She is also a contributing author to the Amazon bestselling anthology The Woman Behind the Mask. What inspired you to write this book, and what message do you hope readers take away from it?
The inspiration behind this book was ultimately my “yes” to GOD’s call to live transparently. HE asked me to share my journey so that those who have experienced abuse, brokenness, rejection, or hopelessness would know they are not alone.
My prayer is that readers walk away with a deeper understanding of GOD’s redeeming power. No matter what they have endured or what others have spoken over their lives, their identity is not defined by their past or by the opinions of people. Their true identity is found in who GOD created them to be.
If my story helps even one person discover hope, healing, freedom, and the courage to embrace the life GOD intended for them, then every page has fulfilled its purpose.
Can you tell us about your main character (or favorite character) and what makes them special to you?
Although I am the central person in this autobiography, I would honestly say that GOD is the true main character.
This book tells my journey, but every chapter ultimately points back to HIS faithfulness. I survived, healed, and experienced victory not because of my own strength, but because GOD never stopped pursuing me. Even during the seasons when I was outside of HIS will, HE never abandoned me. Looking back now, I can clearly see HIS hand leading me through every valley, drawing me into a deeper relationship with HIM and ultimately into redemption.
That is what makes this story so special to me. It is more than the story of a woman overcoming her past—it is the story of a faithful GOD who transforms brokenness into purpose, shame into freedom, and pain into testimony.
What was the most rewarding—and the most challenging—part of writing this book?
The most challenging and the most rewarding parts of writing this book were actually intertwined.
The greatest challenge was revisiting some of the deepest pain of my past. Reliving those moments required me to confront emotions I didn’t even realize still needed healing. At times, the writing process became more than writing—it became part of my own healing journey. GOD used it to reveal areas that still needed HIS touch and lovingly brought restoration where I didn’t even know restoration was needed.
That same challenge became the greatest reward.
As I allowed GOD to heal me through the process, I became even more convinced that HE could do the same for others. Every chapter strengthened my belief that readers could experience hope, healing, and freedom as they encountered not just my story, but GOD’s redemptive power at work within it.
I wasn’t transparent simply to write a good book. I was transparent because I believe GOD can use my testimony to transform lives. My prayer is that every reader walks away knowing that what the enemy meant for evil, GOD can truly turn for good.
If readers could remember just one thing after finishing your book, what would you want it to be?
If readers could remember just one thing after finishing my book, I would want it to be this: You are not your past. You are not your mistakes. And you are not what happened to you.
While GOD does not orchestrate trauma, HE is able to redeem it. HE can use even the most painful experiences to lead us toward healing, restoration, and a deeper relationship with HIM. What the enemy intended to destroy, GOD can transform into a testimony that not only changes our lives but also brings hope and healing to others.
My prayer is that every reader closes this book with the confidence to stop living confined by their past and to begin walking in the freedom, purpose, and identity GOD has always intended for them.
What's next for you? Are you currently working on another book or exciting project that readers can look forward to?
I’m excited about what GOD has ahead.
The first project I’m currently working toward is a companion workbook for No Longer Satan’s Whore. My hope is that readers won’t simply read my story—they’ll have a safe place to process their own. The workbook will include opportunities for reflection, journaling, and personal application so readers can identify areas where healing is still needed and intentionally walk through that journey with GOD.
I’m also looking forward to writing about the other side of my story. While my first book focuses on the journey through brokenness, future projects will explore redemption—my relationship with GOD, the lessons HE taught me through the healing process, and the beautiful way HE guided my husband and me to honor HIM throughout our courtship, marriage, and shared walk of faith.
Another book that is especially close to my heart will honor the extraordinary friendship I shared with my best friend, who is now resting in heaven. I often describe our relationship as a modern-day David and Jonathan friendship, and I hope to share the love, loyalty, faith, and impact we experienced together in a way that encourages others to cherish GOD-centered relationships.
There is so much more that GOD has placed on my heart to share, and I pray that each project continues to point people toward hope, healing, freedom, and a deeper relationship with HIM.
