Cherish Amore

Tell us about yourself.

My name is Cherish, I have been writing since 2014, well longer if you include before I published my first book. I am a wife, and mother of two. Currently we reside in Germany and having the time of our lives.

If you could pick a season, what would it be and why?

The season I would pick would be winter, I absolutely love the cold, and snow. Plus, along with the cold, Christmas falls in winter which happens to be my favorite holiday.

If you had to pick a genre category for your latest novel, what would it be?

My latest novel, like most, falls into the contemporary romance category with an urban undertone.

How do you handle writer’s block?

Whenever I experience writer's block, which doesn’t happen often, I find a writing prompt where I write 1,000 words or less just to get my words flowing. Most times after the prompt, I can jump back into writing. If that doesn’t seem to work, I will move to another project as the one I am trying to write may not be ready to be told.

What is the most important element in writing?

For me the most important element of writing is enjoying what I am writing and remember my works aren’t for everyone. As an author I write for me, when doing so it gives the passion needed for readers to enjoy what I put out.

What, if any, key challenges did you face when writing your book?

When writing I think the challenge I face with every book is getting that last 5k complete. It’s like in my brain I am done, but obviously not lol. So I have to push myself to get it out.

What authors influence your writing?

The authors that influence me are Erik Jerome Dicky, and my all-time favorite Takerra Allen.

What is your favorite quote?

Richard Bach once said “If you love something set it free, if it comes back it’s yours, if it doesn’t it never was” Absolutely love and live by that saying.

What is one thing that makes your writing different from other authors?

I am riding my own lane, ensuring to make a name for myself while giving love in a way others aren’t. Most of my love stories are based from real life situations with a spin to it.

Let’s say that you are going to be one of the keynote speakers in the upcoming live stream festival and conference about being an author; how would you feel about that and what would you say?

I would absolutely do a live festival. I would go into detail how its not easy, but if the work is done, the reward is amazing.

What would you like to say to your readers?

To my readers new and old, thank you! I say it often but it’s meant from the bottom of my heart, that I am forever grateful. Each one of you are amazing!

Enters Israel, who is fun, quiet, very successful, and fine. He’s navigating through life as best as he can at twenty-nine. Both successful in their own rights, Ke’maji and Israel cross paths, though neither is expecting anything more than a night out with friends. Having to take chances, risk a lot, and deal with exposed truths, will they be able to retain what started from a dare, or are they forced to let it go?
