Keep your friends close because they can become your worst enemy.

Namia has everything that any woman can ask for: money, clothes, cars, and two beautiful kids. She has everything but the true love of her husband. Because her husband cannot be faithful, she feels she has to seek love elsewhere. Will she rethink her decision or will she be forced in the hands of another?

Kaden is the husband of Naima. This sexy NFL star feels that he is God’s gift and can have anything or anyone he wants. He is cheating with someone that is a little too close to home. When Kaden is caught will he and this mystery person receive the forgiveness that they need and want?

Amber and Damir have been in a rollercoaster relationship for quite some time. Damir is at a point where he wants to let it all go and find true love. Amber has invested a lot of time into Damir and will not let him go without a good fight. A huge change is in store for this couple. Will this change force Damir to rethink his decision or will Amber lose the love of her life?

Will any of these relationships work out despite all the problems that are around? Who is Emeri and what does she have to do with everyone?

Covented is drama from the first page. To be a debut novel, the storyline, details, and interaction of the characters are on the level of a seasoned, certain, author. At times, you will get confused but the author makes sure that the reader understands the relationships and all the connections of the character. Mychea also is very talented to keep the readers wondering about the next action.

Author Profile: Sandra Nicole

Meet Author Sandra Nicole

Tell us about yourself.

I am Sandra Nicole. I hail from the town of Bedrock, aka, Flint, Michigan. I am a single mom of four who found writing as a way to escape reality, while channeling my own experiences with toxic relationships through books.

Tell us about your latest book.

My latest book is A Mann for Valentine's Day, which is the sequel to a Mann for Christmas. The story follows Miracle Johnson and Joseph Mann on a journey where they come from two different lifestyles: Joseph is a millionaire who runs a design firm, Miracle is a struggling marketing genius who just hasn't discovered her true worth. Joseph's sister isn't too welcoming of Miracle because she sees her as just another woman who is after her brother's money. What results is a tale of a love that seems almost like a fairytale, only with drama built in.

To you what difference do you see between a writer and an author?

A writer is someone who writes anything--magazine articles, reports, etc. An author is someone who writes books and novels that are published.

What comes first for you — the plot or the characters — and why?

I develop my characters first because they help me write the story and kind of steer the direction of the plot and influence the level of drama that will be infused throughout the pages of the book.

What is a significant way your book has changed since the first draft?

I felt like I made Miracle a character that was needy, but she wasn't. She was just misunderstood. I have also gone through to add more context to Joseph's background.

How do you celebrate when you finish your book?

When I finish a book, I breathe a sigh of relief, and then think about when I want to do another book. Sometimes I may treat myself to dinner or something. Finishing a book is definitely no easy feat.

What do you think of NaNoWriMo? Worth it?

To be honest, I try to participate in NaNoWriMo but I always end up doing my own thing. It's worth it if you need that push and accountability to write a book in a month, but for me, once I start a book, I'm not stopping until it is done, and that's usually in a few days.

What are the essential characteristics of a hero you can root for?

They are willing to stand up for what they want. They protect what they love. Even if they get knocked down, they are not afraid to stand back up. When it looks like all of the odds are stacked against them, they persevere.

What books do you enjoy reading?

I enjoy reading urban fiction books, romantic suspense books and even some thrillers. I read nonfiction books that help me improve on my craft as a writer and author.

What would you like to say to your readers?

I would like to thank every reader who has taken a chance on my work. I appreciate you so much and you keep me motivated to continue writing.

Book Review Alert: Violet: A Street Vixen

Book Review Alert: Violet: A Street Vixen
Author: Elaine Jenkins
Published: August 10, 2022
Publisher: Independently published
ISBN-13: 979-8846001367
ASIN: B0BB67HS4G (Paperback)
ASIN: B0B98P3CT7
Rating: 4 stars
Byline: This world is small and sometimes dangerous.

Aries, Violet, and Yolanda are thick as thieves. Aries and Violet are cousins and Yolanda is the best friend to both.
Violet is the best representation of the female in the classic SOS Band song entitled Weekend Girl or the cult classic Independent by Webbie. She has everything she wants but a man. She is a baddie so she can be as choosy as she wants.
Here comes Jackson. According to Violet, he is a cutie and knows how to make a woman happy. Meeting at a club turns into a night of pleasure. Could he be Mr. Right or is he just another fish to throw back in the sea?
Then Violet meets Dutch. Dutch is a street businessman. He finds himself falling in love with her. He likes what he sees and plans to make her his, but all other men must be the out of the picture.
Yolanda has a secret that will ruin the relationship that Violet has with one of these men. What will happen when Violet finds out? Who will be the last man standing? Who will be six feet deep? What will happen to the relationship between Violet and Yolanda?

Why? WHy??  WHY???
This book was very written. The flow was at ease with no hiccups. While reading I knew something was going to happen and yes, I did guess correctly but here comes that curveball. That is what makes this novel such a winner. I did not see any of what happened to Charlotte coming. The reactions of the characters are what should have happened in real life. I loved the fact that the author did that. It was nothing that was over exaggerated or out of the realm of normalcy. Nice quick and fast lunchtime read.
The end of the book leaves me to wonder if there will be a part 2. Now is part 2 needed? Well, that depends on the reader. There is enough groundwork for part 2.
