When we think of August, back to school comes to mind. Time to get back to the 3 “R”s: reading, writing and arithmetic. Books this month will focus on getting our kids reading for another successful school year.

Tips to Start of a Great School Year
Visit the school or classroom before the first day.
Read books about starting school.
Talk to your child about their feelings about school, friends, teachers, and new activities.
Set intentions with your child for the school year ahead.
Implement a regular sleep and waking routine with your child.
Make the first day a special occasion.
Arrange a playdate with your child with a friend or family member.
Be open to hear all about the first day activities.
