Juri Hines is a proud country girl from Florence, SC, who has been captivated by books since childhood. Writing became her outlet, a safe space to channel her emotions, passion, and creativity. Through her writing, she releases her innermost feelings from soul to paper, immersing readers on a voyage of emotion and self-reflection. Juri made her debut with Sparks In The Moment in July 2024 and has no plans on stopping. Her purpose is to craft stories that embrace the essence of romance, the power of passion, and the authenticity of intimacy in all its shades. As she continues her journey as a romance author, Juri remains committed to delivering feel-good reads that explore healing through love. 



Get To Know Author Juri Hines

What inspired you to write this book, and what message do you hope readers take away from it?

    I wrote this book as a part of the Seduction In Red, White, & Blue collaboration with Robbi Renee. That's where the 4th of July theme came from, but as far as the story, this was simply the message on my heart to deliver at the time.  You're worthy of the love you desire, and that love is worth waiting for...and healing for.

Can you tell us about your main character (or favorite character) and what makes them special to you?

   The MFC Kalyani is healing, learning her worth, and finding love after heartbreak. She's special because she's so many of us women. Most of us have experienced this at different stages of our lives. We can feel the emotions on the page rather than just read them. 

What was the most rewarding—and the most challenging—part of writing this book?

  The most rewarding part was actually finishing. This was a dream I wasn't sure would come to fruition, so holding the finished product in my hand was the reward. The most challenging part was learning to sit still and write! Two years later, I still have this problem. I'm always doing something, so I have to be intentional with my time. 

If readers could remember just one thing after finishing your book, what would you want it to be?

    I want my readers ready for the next story! 

What's next for you? Are you currently working on another book or exciting project that readers can look forward to?

    There are so many projects I am working on!!  I am hosting Vibez After Dark in Columbia, SC on July 18, 2026 as a part of Love In The Carolinas. For the remainder of 2026, I will also be a participating author at Brown Sugar and Black Romance in N. Charleston, SC on September 12, 2026 and Southern Hearts & Signed Kisses on October 9-10, 2026 in Columbia, SC. I have a few more releases coming this year, and I also received my first traditional book deal with Black Odyssey Media, so look out for that release in 2027!  I am also hosting Studio Sessions with Juri Hines where I interview others in the bookish space.
