What inspired you to write this book, and what message do you hope readers take away from it?
His for the Weekend was inspired by the idea that one unexpected weekend can completely change the direction of your life. I wanted to tell the story of a woman who had spent so much time carrying the weight of heartbreak that she’d forgotten what it felt like to simply live, laugh, and be loved. Through Bellamy’s journey, I hope readers are reminded that healing doesn’t happen overnight, but sometimes life places the right person in your path when you least expect it. Most importantly, I want readers to know they should never settle for less than the love they deserve.Can you tell us about your main character (or favorite character) and what makes them special to you?
Bellamy is special to me because she’s relatable. She’s built a successful life for herself, but emotionally she’s still healing from betrayal and disappointment. I enjoyed writing a heroine who is strong enough to walk away from what no longer serves her, yet still has the courage to open her heart again.

What was the most rewarding—and the most challenging—part of writing this book?
The most rewarding part was exploring the chemistry between Bellamy and Zaire after so many years apart. They already had history, so every conversation carried emotion, memories, and unanswered questions. It allowed me to write a romance that wasn’t just about attraction, but about unfinished business and rediscovering someone who never completely left your heart.

The most challenging part was balancing their past with their present. I wanted readers to understand why Bellamy was so guarded. Finding that balance was one of the most rewarding parts of the writing process.

I want readers to remember that healing and love can exist at the same time. Just because you’ve been hurt doesn’t mean your story is over. Sometimes the greatest blessings come when you least expect them, and that one decision, one moment, can change your life forever.
