Honestly, I write from my heart and my imagination, so there wasn’t one specific inspiration behind this book. I just wanted to do something different. If readers take away anything, I hope it’s that it’s okay to trust people when you genuinely need help—but also be careful about who you call your friends.
Can you tell us about your main character (or favorite character) and what makes them special to you?
Sianni is definitely my favorite because she’s so independent, and I see a lot of myself in her. I’m very independent. My mindset has always been, “If I can’t do it myself, then I don’t need to do it.” That part of her is something I really connect with.
What was the most rewarding—and the most challenging—part of writing this book?
The most challenging part was staying focused. There has been a lot going on in my personal life lately, so balancing everything while writing wasn’t always easy. The most rewarding part is seeing the story come together and knowing readers are going to experience every emotional moment right along with the characters.
If readers could remember just one thing after finishing your book, what would you want it to be?
That they survived another Keisha J plot twist! I love keeping my readers on their toes, so if they finish the book shocked, emotional, and already asking for the next one, then I’ve done my job.

Yes! I’m almost finished with this one, and I’m already working on my next project. I don’t want to give away too much because I’d rather show than tell, but I can promise my readers there’s plenty more coming..
